Projects

The Longest Journey

TLJ was released by Funcom in 1999 (and 2000 is some countries). The game was made by a very small team where I worked as producer, director, designer and writer. It received excellent reviews and many awards, and people still remember it twenty years later.

Anarchy Online

I helped create the backstory and lore for the Anarchy Online universe, and I wrote a companion novel called Prophet Without Honour.

Dreamfall: The Longest Journey

Dreamfall came out in 2006, and it was the sequel to The Longest Journey, although it was a very different game with a new cast of characters. This time around, I focused on directing the game, as well as writing and design.

The Secret World

TSW is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game that took almost six years to make. I was executive producer and director, and I also wrote and designed parts of the game. It came out in 2012, and it was my final game at Funcom.

A few months after the launch of TSW, I left Funcom to start up Red Thread Games with friends, family and former colleagues.

Dreamfall Chapters

My first game at Red Thread was a sequel to Dreamfall. The project raised $1.5M on Kickstarter, and production began in 2013. In 2014, we released the first of five chapters. The final chapter came out in 2016, followed by a complete ‘Final Cut’ edition in 2017, along with console editions. This was the concluding game in The Longest Journey saga.

Draugen

Red Thread’s first title based on original IP, Draugen began production in 2018 and was released in May 2019. Console versions were released in February 2020, and we’re planning a revised PC edition later in the year.

Dustborn

I’m currently working on Dustborn, a road trip action-adventure set to a near future Divided States of America.

Svalbard

We’re also working on Svalbard, a narrative “Polar Punk” survival adventure that takes place in the far future.
